There are several types of articles, depending on subject:
- Deep sky objects (like NGC 457)
- Objects by constellation (like Open clusters in Cassiopeia or galaxies in Pisces)
- Constellations (like Cassiopeia)
- Observing specific types of objects (like open cluster)
- Catalogs of DSO (like Alessi)

[edit] Deep sky objects
Since there is a few thousants articles here, there is a chance that the article you want to write already exsist. If it exist, it is allready categorised by catalog, constellation and type, so you can find it in subcategories ina any of those 3 top categories:
If it doesn't exist, then there is a chance that its infobox template is allready created. In that case, find it here: Category:Unused object infoboxes. Every infobox includes text to copy in new article related to object described in infobox. It's easy - just copy the text find on the left of the infobox and paste it in a new page, and start writing the rest of the article.
Please, do not create "empty" articles, with no usefull information. Minimum information for the article to be usefull is at least one link to an observing report.
